Story
Hi, I’m Lucy – founder of ‘A Little Less Waste’ in Melton Mowbray.
Growing up in the Vale of Belvoir, I’ve got fond memories of shopping directly from farms and picking fresh fruit and veg from Mum’s garden.
Having been an NHS nurse for the last 5 years, I’ve seen how important community is.
My aim is for this to be more than a shop, a place where you can buy local, but also come together for change.
A Little Less Waste brings a new sustainable way of shopping to the heart of Melton, keeping things local – with as much of our shop filled with fab products from farms and producers from around the East Midlands’.
Shopping ‘Zero Waste’ simply means only buying what you need and minimising the amount of plastic and unnecessary packaging you’re using. It’s easy, rewarding and contributes to a happier and greener environment.
We have a wide range of products from pasta and rice, to nuts, oats, muesli and more! You can even buy essentials for personal hygiene, beauty and cleaning… all with zero to little waste.
